Well known car collisions

Driving can be very dangerous and drivers need to be very careful. If you're not, you can find yourself in a car collision. There are different types of car collisions. In fact, there are five car collisions that are the most common.

  1. Rear-End Collisions

  2. Single Vehicle Crashes

  3. T-Bone Accidents

  4. Sideswipe Collisions

  5. Head On Crashes

A rear-end collision is when a vehicle crashes into the one in front of it. The causes of a rear-end collision includes; driver inattention or distraction, tailgating, and panic stops. It is the most occurring type of accident.

A single vehicle crash is a car collision in which only one vehicle is involved. The causes of a single vehicle crash are; drivers falling asleep, intoxicated drivers, distracted drivers, mechanical failures, running into an object, weather conditions, and speeding.

A t-bone accident is when the front of one vehicle strikes the side of another, forming the shape of a “T” at the point of impact. The usual cause of a t-bone accident is the at-fault driver's failure to yield or give the right of way to other vehicles.

A sideswipe accident is when two cars are going the same direction and the side of one car hits the side of the other car. Sideswipe accidents also occur when one driver makes a lane change and does not look first before merging over.

A head on crash is when two vehicles travelling the opposite direction collide into each other. The causes are; distracted driving, excessive speed, or a drunk driver. Head on crashes are the most dangerous type of accident as they are many times fatal or cause serious injuries.
